It is a pleasure to be able to speak with you again. We thank God for your love for His work and Church. We began the month with a visit to the city of Chiclayo from the 10th until the 13th of March to the Good News Baptist Church where they were having their anniversary. Pastor Sergio Serquen, a great friend and servant of God, is doing a great work there. I ask your prayers for his ministry and family.
Christian School
We began classes on Monday, March 7. We have 96 students. Many of them are pastor’s children. The previous weeks, we made several repairs to the classrooms and infrastructure. If God allows, this year we will have six students graduating from secondary school, among which is my daughter, Liz Andrea.
Macedonia Baptist Seminary
We began our academic year on Tuesday, March 22nd. We have about 35 students, ten of which are in their first year. Among them, we have a couple from Chile, (Concepcion), who arrived with their five year old son who is studying in the Christian school. Please pray for them. They will be working at El Faro Baptist Church with Pastor Juan Pacheco, to whom we are very grateful for his help.
On Tuesday, April 19, a group of students will be helping with visitation at the New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Puma. Additionally, I want to thank pastors and missionaries that are assisting this year with teaching classes.
A former student, Renzo Z, will go as a missionary to north Africa on Tuesday April 5th together with his wife and younger daughter. I thank God for the privilege that He has given us to be able to contribute to the preparation of these servants of God through this ministry. We held a very emotional send off for them on Monday March 28th at the seminary.
Hunter Baptist Church
This year, we will have four seminary students that will complete their internship as workers and leaders here at our church. Additionally, we will have our youth pastor, Alfredo Pari, as one of our teachers at the seminary. He also had a retreat in Yumina with the young people of our church on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th of March. Forty teens participated in the event.
We are preparing our campaign for Semana Santa (Holy Week) from the 21st to the 24th of April in which we will have many guests, a drama and special music.
Esmirna Baptist Church
It is a joy to have Brother Edgar Villafuerte as a student at the Seminary. Additionally, from the 20th until the 24th of April, we will have a special anniversary week. We have completed five years since the church organized itself, and we will have very special anniversary nights.
Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th, the young people will have a retreat with our youth leader, Alan Chujutalli, who graduated from the Seminary this year.
Berea Baptist Church
This year, we will have a seminary student from Moquegua, Fernando Quiso, who will be completing his internship with us. The ladies met on Friday the 25th of March, and we continue supporting two missionaries.
Please pray for
– Semana Santa from April 20th until the 24th.
– The missions conference at Friendship Baptist Church in which I will be preaching from April 28th to Sunday May 1st.
