Happy New Year! The beginning of a new year always causes me to look back and see if anything is actually being accomplished. It is incredible when I think of all that God has done in the year and ten months that we have been here. I realize now more than ever that the God of Heaven is with us. Lives are being changed, people are getting saved, families are being restored, and He is allowing us to have a small part. We serve a great God!
We praise the Lord for several new families who have joined and desire to serve in the church. This month, I baptized a young girl named Adriana, 18 years old. She accepted Christ early last year and is being discipled by another young lady in the church. We have at least a half dozen more just like her that will, Lord willing, be following in her steps very soon. Please remember the “jovenes” (youth) of Iglesia Bautista Omega in your prayers.
Our “Conexión” (small group home Bible study) is starting to grow. We have had several visitors in the past few week, two of which are not believers, Katy and Jesús. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would work in their hearts. I also ask that you would remember me in prayer as I am now preaching/teaching at least three times every week. It is quite a challenge, but great for my Spanish!
Other news: Our contract on our house runs out in March. Unfortunately, we will not be renewing, due to inflation. The owner is now asking for more than double what we are currently paying. The process of finding another can be very time consuming and costly. But, praise the Lord, our first day of house hunting, we were able to find one, and it’s not too far from where we are now. Please pray with us that all the paper work goes just as smoothly, and also that the moving costs don’t break the bank.
Two of our team members, Chris Gardner and David Gardner, are currently in the States raising additional support. These guys are tremendous preachers who would be a blessing to you and your church. * We will be having a church-wide get together at our home on the Jan 29th. We hope to see several new faces for this.
* Wedding vow renewal service at IB Omega, Feb 13th.
* Annual Ladies Conference with el Equipo Macedionia, Feb 1-4.
