Micah Rastelli is an Our Generation Training Center student currently doing his 6 month internship in Arequipa, Peru. He is working at Iglesia Bautista Omega with missionary Jeremy Hall and doing a wonderful job.
Dear Praying Friends,
Two months have now passed here in Peru and the Lord has really blessed my time here. Language learning is slowly coming along. After 4 hours of class 5 days a week and practice, I can now converse a little bit which is really nice.
The Lord has also blessed me in allowing me to become more involved in Iglesia Bautista Omega. I am now making announcement slides for the services and have been able to give a few more offering devotions. Working with Jeremy Hall is a great blessing and privilege.
Christmas and New Years here were a little bit different. For Christmas, we stayed up all night Christmas Eve playing games and eating. At 12 o’clock sharp to bring in Christmas day, we all went to the roof of Jeremy’s house and shot off a bunch of firecrackers. As far as I could see in every direction, the sky was light up with firecrackers. New Year’s was very similar. At 12 am, we all went to the top of the roof and shot off firecrackers. But thankfully, we went to bed shortly thereafter.
For the last two weeks, I have also had the privilege of eating every day with Miguel Murillo and his family! The food is a little bit different than what I am used to, but it is good. I was also able to visit one of his three churches (Iglesia Bautista Esmirna) here in Peru for a service.
