Deputation Update

Support is coming in great! So far, we have traveled right at 15,000 miles and are at about 19% of our support after 4 months on deputation! We are right on track to get to the field within our 2 year goal!

After the holidays and into the new year, we are into the main stretch of our deputation, so this year should be a wild and crazy ride! We have just started our first cross-country trip of the year. We just finished a meeting in Louisiana, and now are in TX for a few weeks, then NC and GA before heading out on our survey trip to Thailand!

To be honest, the Christmas season was scary because we didn’t have as many meetings as we usually do, and our livelihood right now is totally from preaching and the generosity of the churches, so when you aren’t in churches, there is no money coming in! But He has always been faithful to me when I had no idea how the ends were going to meet, and this month was no exception. We don’t deserve His goodness or the generosity of other Christians, but the Lord has used many people in specific and important ways to take care of His servant like He said He would. And we praise Him for that!

Summit Report

We look forward every year to the Summit in Pigeon Forge, TN, and this year was one of the best! About 15 missionary families and over 250 people from all over the country gathered for 3 days of intensive missions teaching and preaching. I was able to teach one of the sessions to college students about preparation for the mission field and preach to everyone about God’s promises in the Gospel for Thailand.

We have been praying for laborers, and we got to see the Lord call many into missions service, and some are considering Thailand! It was special to be able to meet and talk with a man and his family as they are praying about going to Thailand, along with others who are unmarried and still in college!

Survey Trip Update

This time next month, I will be in Thailand! I can hardly wait! It will be like Israel crossing the Jordan for the first time and seeing where the Lord wanted them to be. And I believe I picked out some good spies to take with me to see the opportunities. Pray that the final details fall into place, and that he keeps us safe and directs our steps!
