Update on the Peru Bible College and TV station

Candle light service at the Peru Bible College emphasizing World Evangelism

We want to give you an update on what is going on with the Bible College and TV station down in Peru.  It has been amazing to see God move and provide in amazing ways over the last few years, as you can imagine how it has been in these economic times.  Over the last couple of years, the Bible College has undergone some serious budget cuts, and we have got it down to about as low as it can go.  We are now operating a TV station and a Bible College for $7,500 a month.  We have 40 students now and about 35 people that live on the property between teachers and people that run the TV station.  Now I will tell you, that is not a lot of money to feed all the people, hold classes, etc.

This month starts our summer months.  We are on the other side of the equator, so our seasons are opposite.  During these months, the expenses are cut back quite a bit, and we take the money that is saved, and we put it towards the taxes that the TV station has to pay every year, among other things like this that we have to pay.  It works out well.  In the last few months, we have lost some support that people had decided to give temporarily.  There was a dear church to us that was supporting the Bible College for $1,000 a month and that ended.  They have been a great church and a great help to us.  They had said that they would do this for a year, and they continued to support for 27 months.  I thank God for people like them.

This morning, I received a note from a very good supporter as well that they would have to lower what they give to the college by $500 a month.  I am very thankful for all that this person does as well, and they are still a great supporter.  Needless to say, this has put some difficulty on the College.  I would encourage you to support the college on a monthly basis. You can do so by clicking on monthly support on the side of the website.

We do have the taxes and stuff that are coming up this next month.  If you would like to give a one time offering to cover this that would be great as well.  Here is the breakdown:

For the TV station next month, we have to pay a total of $2,450 for the yearly dues to keep the station going.

Everything is in Lima so we have to have a lawyer travel there to do all of the work, then we have to pay the yearly dues and present the paperwork again.  Please pray with us that we can get this money to keep a ministry that reaches thousands of people with the Gospel.  Thanks for all you do, and God bless. Thanks for being a part of all that God is doing in Peru.
