Sunday in Review

We had another great service here at Vision Baptist Church!

I have no words to express the joy and gratitude I felt yesterday as we were able to come together as a church. It was wonderful to be in the same building even though I didn’t get to shake your hand or greet you as I usually would. It was great to see everyone and worship together.

I was told while we were singing, It Is Well With My Soul, that there was hardly a dry eye in the house. I didn’t see that because I was facing the front. My wife told me she shouldn’t have worn makeup, and another person told me that they might cry through the whole service. It was a great time to be with each other, and I am excited about what God is doing.

David Dipboye preached from Genesis 26. God has blessed us in many ways, so the question is, what are we doing with God’s blessings? We need to be willing to give back to God. I preached from Psalm 16 about how God’s pleasures are forevermore. God wants us to find our security in Him.

We had 167 people in church Sunday morning, and I was told that at least 60 people were online watching the service.

Sunday evening, I preached Psalm 17 about being satisfied in Jesus. Jesus is all we need, and seeing Him should be all we need. We’re the apple of God’s eye!
