I Corinthians 6:7 Now, therefore, there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
The believers of Corinth were fighting, fussing, and even suing each other before the law, the courts. Paul couldn’t believe their attitudes towards each other. Paul wanted to know why they didn’t just turn the other cheek.
Jesus had taught His people to turn the other cheek, to forgive, and to leave God to take vengeance or defend His people. Here they were fighting for themselves. They didn’t die to themselves or give; instead, they fought for their rights.
Are you trusting God with what happens to you, or are you in a fight to preserve yourself. Allow God to do what He said He would do. He will take vengeance. He calls on you to trust Him and not fight back.
