Even his enemy knew He was God’s man

I Samuel 24:20 And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.

Saul wants to kill David. David has spared Saul’s life. Saul had gone into a cave to rest. While he was there, David cuts off the corner of Saul’s robe. Even harming, Saul’s clothes bothered David’s conscience. After Saul leaves the cave, David challenges him for chasing him and trying to destroy him.

David says he is a nobody, and Saul is king. There is no reason that Saul should want to harm David. David had not taken advantage of his opportunity to kill Saul.

Saul realizes that David has real character. David has withstood the temptation. David is definitely a better man. Saul realizes that David will soon be the king God has chosen.

I wonder how those that do not like me see my character. Do others believe that I am God’s man. Do I live out my faith in such a way that even my enemy must respect my relationship with God?
