Too strong

Judges 1:19 And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

The Lord blessed Judah as he took possession of the land God had promised and given him. He drove out the people that lived in the mountains of his family’s property. Those that lived in the valley were too strong for him. Judah claimed that they had weapons superior to what he had. They had chariots of iron.

Anyone who has read the Scripture knows that this is just an excuse. The truth is that God had given them the promised land. He had brought them out of the land of Egypt, destroying a far superior army. They had crossed the Red Sea, the wilderness, and the Jordan River. They had seen God work miracle after miracle. But now Judah wasn’t willing to believe. He saw the strength of the enemy, not the power of his God.

I know that I can’t say anything, I too often let Satan and discouragement win in my life. I doubt God. I do not step out in faith. I allow chariots of iron to stop me too. God help me to believe and act on your Word and in your power.
