How often do we get proud of our accomplishments? We change our lives. We better ourselves. We become an ethical and moral person. Really the story is that we were lost in sin and doing wrong. God saved us. He converted us. He changed us. But we like to forget that part.No need in admitting that we couldn’t change. We need a little credit for our advancement, right.
God didn’t want His people to get proud of all that had happened. He didn’t want them to forget all that He had done. God had rescued them from slavery. He had gotten them their freedom. Now they needed to remember that.
Do you forget where you were when He found you and saved you? Has this caused you to be prideful? In your pride, do you like to see how you changed your life instead of admitting that He did a great work in you? Take time to meditate on this truth today
