He did it

Psalm 44:3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them: But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou hadst a favour unto them.

So often we think we have accomplished things. God has done the work. We want the credit. We want the praise, so God has to remind us that He did it.

God had given Israel their land. They may have fought with their swords, but it was God Himself who had given them the victory. They had sweated and bled, but it was God’s arm and power that won the victory. God had looked on them with favor. God ha blessed them. They needed to know that and to acknowledge God.

How many times do I want to take the credit? It was our sweat and blood. It was our work, and we can see and feel that. We forget that the glory goes to God. Take the time today to consider what God is doing in your life. Give Him the credit instead of thinking it is all you.
