Forgetting

Mark 6:52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

Isn’t this the story of our lives. We see God do great things. We are so excited that we are part of what He is doing. Then we get used to is. We quit being sensitive to the Holy Spirit. We forget what we have seen and experienced. The next time we need a miracle, we figure that God can’t and won’t do anything.

I want to keep a tender heart. I know that I have a problem with my heart. I expect things, and I forget. God has been super good to me. When I take the time to look back, I am grateful. When I look ahead, I tend to be fearful and doubt Him in spite of knowing better.

Do you have this problem? Should we take the time today to thank God and ask for a tender heart?
