Shared glory

Genesis 41:39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

When God blessed Joseph by showing him the dream, Pharaoh recognized the blessing. Joseph has made it clear that it was not him that interpreted dreams. Joseph gives all glory and praise to the Lord, but Pharaoh knows a man that knows God. Walking with God, giving God the glory brought blessings to Joseph.

God honors those that honor Him. God blesses those that do not seek the blessings for themselves. This story clearly illustrates that truth. My problem is that often I want to be well thought of. I want to try and look good for others. God doesn’t bless our pride. He humbles the proud and exalts the humble.

Let’s try to humble ourselves today. If we will exalt God and think of Him and His glory, then we can trust God to take care of us.
