All glory to Him

Genesis 41:16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Joseph is about to interpret Pharaoh’s dream. Joseph wants it clear that God can do things that he can not. Joseph could have used it as a way to make a name for himself but chose to give God the glory. All that we ever do or accomplish of any value will be God doing the work. We are but servants. We are instruments in His hands.

We should serve with all of our hearts. We should work as hard as we can, but we should never forget that it is all God doing the work.

I want to examine myself. Am I giving God the glory for His work in and through my life? Am I seeking honor and glory for myself? I know that I always have to deal with pride issues. I think too much of myself. I want to be acknowledged, recognized, and appreciated. That is a sin I wish to lay on the altar today. I want to give all glory and majesty to HIm.
