Genesis 35:12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.
God always keeps His promises. He promised Abraham some land.
God renewed that promise to Isaac. Now He tells Jacob that He is giving that land to him and to his children to follow. God says I gave, I will give, and I will give. He emphasizes the fact that He is giving the land.
He had promised Abraham. He never forgets. Abraham is gone. The promise could be, but that would violate the character of God.
For those who think God is through with Israel I ask, have you forgotten the promises He made and never forgets or do you doubt His character? He keeps His word.
Now when I consider whether or not He loves me, I am reminded of His character. I know that I woke up today undeserving of His love. Fact is I don’t feel that loved today. I have been kind of in the dumps, but that doesn’t change Him or His love, does it?
You can trust Him for His salvation. You can trust His love of you. He is a God who keeps His promises.
