Genesis 33:9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
Esau and Jacob have been enemies for a long time now. They are brothers, and their hatred has been extreme. Now as they meet Jacob sends gifts to appease his brother. The thing that gets my attention is that Esau says that he has enough. Esau doesn’t want Jacob’s stuff. He wasn’t seeking anything from his brother and especially not to make peace.
The question that hit me is do I ever think that I have enough. So often more begets more. The more I have, the more I want. The more I have, the more I think that I need. Just a little more and maybe I will be satisfied. Have you ever suffered from this problem or am I the only one.
I should learn to be content with what God has given me. I should not always be dissatisfied because I still want more. What about you?
