Genesis 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
Noah had gotten drunk. He had been naked in his tent. When Noah woke up, he was embarrassed. In this embarrassment, Noah cursed his grandson. God has allowed me to have twenty grandchildren. I can not imagine cursing one of them. Mainly I can’t imagine cursing a grandchild for what his or her parents did.
That should help you consider the vile wickedness of alcohol. It got Noah drunk. It embarrassed him. He was naked. His children saw him that way. He is so humiliated he cursed his grandson.
Before leaving this verse, I should tell you quickly that this curse has nothing to do with the different races on this planet. It is not a curse on a particular race of people. Even if it were, it was wrong Biblically to curse the children for the sins of the fathers.
No excuse for your racism found here. A sober warning of the wickedness of drink should jump into your mind and heart.
