Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: Wait, I say, on the LORD.

The psalmist told us to wait on the Lord. The word wait means to “hope in.” That means we place our hope, our faith, our expectations in Him. The word wait is the idea of looking forward with confidence to something good and beneficial.

We can know that God is at work. We look forward to what He is going to do in our lives. We feel an eager expectation of God working in our lives.  We rest in hope. We stop all proceedings as we wait to see what He will do.

We are patient, and we simple serve until He moves. We accept His will and attend to it as a waiter does in a restaurant.

We are waiting on the Lord. We are expecting God to move and do something. We are not looking to another for our deliverance.

We encourage ourselves knowing that God does hear and answer prayer. We get stronger in heart as we trust Him and expect His answer.

So no matter what the need trust God. Expect Him to hear and answer. Serve Him knowing that He will do right. Wait on the Lord.
