Isaiah mocks Idol makers

Isaiah 44:16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; With part thereof he eateth flesh; He roasteth roast, and is satisfied: Yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

There is only One God. All other gods are man-made. Isaiah takes the time to enjoy mocking idols and those that make them. He speaks of how they cut down a tree to build a fire. He then says that they cook some meat, grill a steak to eat. They eat the food and are good and satisfied. They warm themselves by that fire. They see the light of the fire. They probably loved staring into the fire like so many of us.

It was with that same piece of wood that they had built their god that they would worship. Isn’t that a tad ridiculous? Of course, it is absurd. That is how the idol worshippers and makers are. They are foolish.
