Isaiah 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, Both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, And they all shall fail together.
God’s people want help from Egypt. They seem stuck on believing that this nation that hates God can help them. The preacher tells them that the Egyptians are only men. They just have physical power. God is Almighty. He can do anything. They have chosen to seek help in the wrong place.
God will see to it that Egypt will fail and so will Israel. If you want to ignore God and do on your own, then you will fall flat on your face. You will lose it all that way. Do not seek to get men to do for you what you know only God can honestly do.
God is good. God is great. God will work in your life if you will seek Him. Do not think that you can save yourself or that another can save you. Trust the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other.
