You can’t keep getting away with it

Nehemiah 9:27 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

God was merciful and gracious all through this chapter. He was good to His people but the time comes when He punishes sin. His punishment was to allow their enemies to triumph over them. Their enemies defeated them. Sin now captured and tormented them. Their enemies took advantage of them.

That is what will happen to you. If you choose your sin over God, then He will give you what you want. He will allow you to become a victim to your sin and rebellion. Then your sin will vex you, trouble you, put you in distress. Sin will bind you up and make a slave of you.

When the people of God got in trouble, they cried out to God again. I am sure you know what He did. He is so good. He heard them. He sent people to rescue them. He didn’t want them to be victims.

God doesn’t want you to be a victim to your sins. God will come if you will but call. He will rescue you. He will save you out of the hands of your enemies.

Why do you persist in sin? Why do you not believe that God is good to you? Why do you continue to blame God for your rebellion? Come today and call on Him.
