I Corinthians 2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
I think we often mistake God’s preachers as bold men who fear nothing. That was not the case with Paul He was before them in weakness. He acknowledged that he wasn’t all they need. He preached in fear and trembling. He felt the impressive weight of responsibility. He felt the importance of talking to men about their eternal souls. He was preaching a message of life and death.
He knew it wouldn’t depend on how smart he was or his great vocabulary. He didn’t depend on his ability as a wordsmith but the power of the Holy Spirit of God. He knew that he needed God to come through in significant ways in his life. He preached begging God to work.
You can know that God will work. You can know He can use you. You will understand that it is not about you and your abilities but Him and His power. God will show Himself strong in the salvation of individuals.
