Recognize that His Word is right

March 1, 2019 By Austin Gardner Leave a Comment

Nehemiah 9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

As God’s people worshipped they praised God for giving them the truth. They recognized that God had given them His Word. His word was right and good. They weren’t angry about God telling them what to do. Instead, they were grateful. They realized that God had spoken with them from heaven. They saw what He said as true.

What is your attitude toward the Word of God? Do you resent the Bible because you don’t like what it says? Does the Bible anger you because it calls you out in your sin?

Are you a believer that respects the Bible but just ignores it? You believe it but do not read it? You accept what it says, you think, but it doesn’t have much bearing on your life?

Isn’t it time to get the right attitude about the Word of God? Let’s commit to reading the Bible. Let’s make a plan to memorize the Bible. More than anything let’s plan to begin living out what we see written in the Scriptures.

His Word is true. It is right. It is good. It is worthy of being obeyed.
