Compromising marriage

Nehemiah 10:30 And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

God did not want His people marrying people from foreign lands. Those people worshiped false gods. They worshiped idols. If His people married people that worshipped false gods, then their hearts would turn from Him to other gods.

In the New Testament, we are told not to be unequally yoked. Believers are not to marry unbelievers. Light and darkness can not get married. Right and wrong can’t be friends.

As a believer, I challenge you to make your commitment to God of higher priority than any earthly commitment. Honor God even in who you marry. Your devotion to God will overshadow even your marriage.

Everything you say and do for the rest of your life will revolve around your commitment to and belief in God. So marry someone that feels the same way.
