Worship

Nehemiah 8:6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

Ezra led in worship. He blessed the Lord. That means Ezra praised and thanked God. He recognized God for who He is, the great God. The people responded with saying amen, amen. They agreed. They expressed their agreement. They lifted their hands to God to communicate that their worship was towards Him. They put their faces to the ground bowing their heads in an expression of reverence and respect. They were acknowledging that God is great. They were stating that they were unworthy even to worship. He is God.

Do we worship? Do we express our praise? Do we respond to thoughts of appreciation to the Lord? We should worship God. We should be expressive of our love. He is worthy of all the praise we can give Him.
