Nehemiah 6:19 Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
Tobiah wants to stop the work of God. He writes letters to Nehemiah. Tobiah even writes open letters. He looks for things that might scare Nehemiah. He states the obvious about the problems surrounding the ministry. He exaggerates the danger. He plays with the fears one might naturally have. That is the game Satan plays.
No, it is improbable that they will hate you if you witness to them kindly. If you share the love of Jesus with them, they will not hate you. But Satan wants you to think that they will hate you. He wants you to believe you will lose a friend.
No, you will not lose everything if you honor God with a tithe, an offering, acknowledging Him for who He is. No, Satan is lying to you.
No, the will of God is not something you will hate and be miserable doing. He doesn’t want to hurt you. He actually wants you to enjoy the abundant life.
Do you see how Satan twists things to make you fear what you do not have to fear? He may say things to make you afraid, but you do not have to believe him. You can trust God.
