Victory from the Lord

Nehemiah 6:16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.

God did the work. The work had been from difficult to impossible. They had to build a wall many feet tall that was over 2.5 miles long. They had to fight off their fears, their enemies, the threats, and even the physical and mental strain that came to finish the work. The enemies had done all they could to hinder the work of God, but it was now finished. The enemies had to recognize that God had done the work.

The work that God has given us all to do is very difficult if not impossible. God is worth our effort and sacrifice, no matter how much it is. We are to carry the gospel to the world. We are to start churches, train leaders, then trust the leaders and God to carry on the work. We are mocked. We have to face our fears. We have to pay the price of leaving our homes, learning languages, living under threats, dealing with people that do not even want us there but it is worth it.

Don’t you want to do something with your life that will be so big that GHod will have to do it? Don’t you want to live the impossible? What an opportunity God gives you to see Him work and be glorified. The victory we need can only come from the Lord.
