Nehemiah 3:2 And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.
I love this truth that is found all through Nehemiah 3. They were working next to each other. Shoulder to shoulder they built the wall. This phrase is found 13 times in 9 verses in this chapter. Each person was doing a different job. Many were in different parts of the wall. All were doing the work. Each task was valuable.
Where are you on the assembly line? Are you involved in the ministry? Do you faithfully stand and do your part? Can your brothers and sisters count on you to be in your place doing your part?
We will not all do the same ministry, but all we do is important! We should all be in our place. We should be trustworthy. We should be there to serve God and others. We are all in the ministry.
If God wrote or even a member of our church wrote a story about us would they see us “next unto” each other doing our job? Would they find you on the wall? Would they see your ministry? Would they say you are there and all never worry about your job getting done because they trust you?
