Nehemiah 6:14 My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.
Tobiah is a wicked man. He is doing all he can to hinder the work of Nehemiah as he rebuilds the wall around Jerusalem. As the book began Sanballat’s name came first now, we see Tobiah is mentioned first. Tobiah is hiring people to make Nehemiah doubt that he is doing the work of God. He is threatening them to cause the workers to be too afraid to work. They put their threats in writing. He will do anything to stop God’s work from going forward.
You need to know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Satan and his wicked horde are behind all the attacks on you and the work of God. He will do anything he can to get you to live in fear and doubt. You must get in the Word of God. You must fill your heart with the truth. You must be focused to know what is going on around you. Learn to watch and pray. Pray to God and be on the lookout for the attacks that are coming. Recognize them for what they are. Live alertly. Watch and know when it is an attack of Satan.
