Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
When Jesus miraculously came into the world, He came to rescue people from their self-inflicted damage. He came to save man because man had sinned. Sin would take that man to an eternity of pain and suffering, hell. God didn’t want anyone to go to Hell. He sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to save or rescue the world.
Man had done his own thing. Man lived like he wanted to live. This life man chose to live was in open rebellion to what God wanted Him to do. Sin is you doing your own thing. Sin is you going your own way. Sin is you rebelling against God’s way and will.
Our rebellion brought death, damage, suffering, and eternal agony but Jesus came to rescue us from ourselves and our sin. Have you trusted Him and what He did on the cross of Calvary? Have you believed the love of God that would come and die for you? You can know your sins are forgiven today. Trust Jesus.
