Isaiah 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them Precept upon precept, precept upon precept; Line upon line, line upon line; Here a little, and there a little; That they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, And snared, and taken.
God’s truths aren’t learned overnight. They are absorbed little by little. You learn a little each day, and slowly you will mature into knowing the Word and God more and more.
That is good for us all to remember as we disciple. It means don’t try to dump a truckload of information on a person. It means take your time teaching people. It is to learn and grow.
As a pastor-teacher we know to make it bite-sized so people can learn. Don’t crush people with what you know or all that the Bible says.
Learn discipline. Since you now know you can’t learn it all in a day learn to be disciplined and diligent to work on it a little every day. You will eventually know more. So, learn little what you can each day. Keep on growing and learning.
