Matthew 18:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
The story tells about a man forgiven who refuses to forgive others. The forgiver asks the question, why are you not showing the same compassion to the other as I showed to you. I forgave you and had compassion on you. Will you not do the same.
The forgiven forgive is basically the lesson here. God has forgiven us of great sin in our lives. If you are saved, then you have been forgiven a world of iniquity. Now when someone wrongs a forgiven person what should they be feeling. We forgive because we have been forgiven. So show some compassion. Get rid of that bitterness. Trust God to help you love as He loves.
