Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
God warns that His people are being destroyed because they haven’t been taught. God’s priests have rejected knowing Him. This causes God to reject His priests. God will not bless and work among His children.
God’s people rejected the truth also. They didn’t want to know what God had to say. They were losing their privilege of being the voice of wisdom in the world.
If God’s people forget God’s law, then God will forget them. We need the Word of God. We need to study it and learn it. God is everything in our lives.
Why have you so rejected the Word of God? Why have you decided that you know best without God and His Word? Do you realize that you are bringing death and destruction on yourself as well as on your family? Today you need to turn to God. You turn to Him by turning to His Word.
Are you making the Bible and seeking God a priority in your life? Do you hunger to know Him? It is time for you to seek God.
