Psalm 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed, And meditate on thee in the night watches.
What do you think about when you are in bed? What do you think about when you can’t sleep. Do you let your problems worry you to death? Do you begin to consider all that might happen to you and your family?
The psalmist says that He remembered God when he was in bed. He thought of God. He had God on his mind, not trouble, not problems but God.
I want to challenge you to control your thoughts. In the lonely dark of night bring your thoughts to the character of God. Think of His goodness. Think of His salvation. Think of all the good He has done in your life.
If you do think of your problems, then tell the Lord about them and thank Him for taking care of them. Do not allow your heart to be confused, confounded, and cornered by thinking about yourself, what is going to happen to you, etc. Think on your great God.
