Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: Wait, I say, on the LORD.
Things are hard. You are hurting. The answer is to wait on the Lord, to be confident, that He will meet your need. It takes courage to believe God when everything else screams that you cannot do so. Trust God. Wait on Him. He will strengthen your heart.
Waiting means to hope for something, to “look forward with confidence to that which is good and beneficial, often with a focus of anticipation in a future event!”
We are expecting God to work in our lives. We anticipate His blessing. The object of our hope is the Lord God Himself.
It means we will stop all of our frantic attempts to answer our own prayer and wait to see God and what He will do. We patiently rest expecting God to move. We expect help to arrive. We hope God to bless.
So I know you are hurting. I know that you are afraid. The circumstances are beyond your control, but you can trust God. We have excellent and beautiful promises.
