Ezra 7:23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
The king had great respect for God and His people. He desired to have them pray for him and his sons. He knew that God in heaven indeed ruled over the affairs of man. He wanted every blessing he could get.
God does genuinely rule over the affairs of man. Every country needs the blessings of God on them. God’s people can make a difference through their worship and prayers. As we live out what God has done in us, then we do see God bring His blessings over His people and even our country.
Are you praying for those in leadership over you? Do you worship and seek the God who is big enough to truly make a difference in world affairs? Let’s obey God. Let’s be salt and light for our society.
