Not fully following God

August 13, 2018 By Austin Gardner Leave a Comment

I Kings 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

Solomon didn’t follow after God like David, his father. He complied but half-heartedly. He did evil in the sight of the Lord.

Sin, wrong, and evil are not determined by society or even you but by God. He is the source of truth. He defines what is right and wrong. Solomon didn’t live a life that pleased God.

Are you considering what God is thinking about what you are doing?

Do you realize that as a dad or mom you can give the best instruction and the best example, but your children will still decide what they do with that instruction?

You are responsible for living out the truth. You should model the truth. You should pray your children will follow the truth, but it will ultimately be them that decide if they so choose to follow and honor God or not!
