Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
When God established how the law should be handled in early Israel, He told them that they must have at least two witnesses. One person could never accuse another person without corroboration. This is a good way for you to think. It is easy to listen to gossip and get only one side of the truth. It might not even be true at all.
So we should be lovers of the truth. We should be careful to make sure whatever accusation is indeed true. Let the truth be established.
