To be your God

Leviticus 25:38 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

God identifies Himself as the God who brought them out of Egypt. He rescued them from slavery. He gave them the promised land. He is a great God.

Now notice what it says in this verse. He brought them out to give them the land. He rescued them to bless them. He wanted to be their God, so He rescued them from slavery in Egypt.

He loves you. He rescued you from sin and yourself. He has given you a new life. He is making a difference in you. If you just consider how much He loves you, then you will be blessed beyond your wildest comprehension. He rescued you, gave you life, and simply said, I want to be your God. How can you not accept such an offer?
