Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
If you are saved, then you are in the Spirit not in the flesh. The flesh refers to our first birth. The flesh applies to all born from Adam. The flesh refers to man away from and outside of God.
If you are saved, then you have the Spirit of God. If you do not have the Spirit of God, then you are not saved.
This verse was a refreshing first for me the first time I understood it. I am not in the flesh. I am in the Spirit. I am in the new Adam, Jesus Christ. I am a new creature. I am not who I used to be. I am not in the flesh.
