Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
The missionaries left for the field. They completed their work for the term. They had now returned to their home church. They gathered them together and shared with them all the great things that God had done. They let them know that God was saving people. They knew that God did the work. They took no glory or honor for it.
All rejoiced together, those that had gone out and those that had stayed behind. All were doing their part to honor God, and now they rejoiced as they saw God bless their sacrifice and service.
When our missionaries return from the field, we should be careful to bless the Lord for how He has used them. We want to be thankful that God is in the saving business.
