John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
It is our custom to put things off for another day. We are procrastinators. We know that the world needs to be reached with the gospel. We just think we have plenty of time to get with the work. We can do it tomorrow. We can take care of ourselves and a few other things first.
Jesus asked His disciples to quit waiting. He asked them to look up right then. There was a harvest waiting right then. It was time to get the harvest in.
How are you living and thinking right now? I know you love God. I know you fully plan to be involved in doing His will. You would “never” not obey. You would never rebel, but you might be guilty of putting it off until a better or different day.
Procrastination is the same as rebellion, just in another form. Will you today consider that it is now time to obey. Lift your eyes. See the need. Get involved. Do not put it off another day. Do not waste another minute. Now, look, and get to work.
