I Kings 13:30 And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!
This prophet had caused the death of his brother prophet. He had lied to him. He had deceived him and now felt guilty about what he had done. He had caused his death. It is too late to mourn now.
How often do we feel sorry for what we did wrong but just too late? How frequently do we intentionally do wrong and not think it is such a big deal till it is too late. In maturity, we need to weigh our thoughts and actions before carrying them out. Let’s make sure we are doing something that we will not later regret.
