Joshua 13:1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
Just because a person gets old doesn’t mean that person has accomplished all that God wants them to do. Joshua here is old. God tells him that he might be old, but there is still much to do. God had given Joshua the task of taking the promised land. He had been working at it for many years. Much had been done and accomplished, but there was still much more to do.
God has a race for you to run. You are not here just to live and enjoy this world. God made you with a purpose. Are you living out His plan? Do you live life on purpose?
This verse is a call to meditate on my life. It is time for me to consider if I am doing all that God has for me. It is time to look and see how much more I can do with the life that remains Life is exciting when you lived in competition. We compete not with each other but with ourselves. Am I doing all I was meant to do? Have I settled for less than His best for me?
