Numbers 14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
A hard truth to learn and accept is that sin has consequences. The people had complained about the will of God for their lives. They were not grateful. They accused God of being hard on them, not blessing them. They saw God’s will as a burden, not a blessing.
Now God will still love them. He will always meet their every need, but they will not enjoy all He had for them. If you sin, God will not love you any less. He loves you. His love is not based on what you do but on who He is. Grace is a most beautiful truth.
You should be fully aware that sin will still rob you. Sin can leave you miserable. You will always be loved, but His love doesn’t mean that sin doesn’t bring devastating consequences on all involved or near the sin.
