Exodus 12:48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
They were celebrating the Passover. The Passover was something God was doing for His people. The stranger could participate if he were circumcised. Being circumcised would have meant that he had believed. Circumcision would not be entered into lightly. To take that step would have been that the person was committed. The person was all in.
I think you need to consider that there are things that are very important to us as the children of God. We are His. We have given Him our lives. He has given us our lives. We are His, and He is ours.
The next time you take the Lord’s supper think about that. He did that for you. He saved you. He passed over your sin because of the blood of Jesus. This is a family thing we get to enjoy. We are His family by His grace. Let’s now invite the strangers to come and join our family.
