Exodus 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
Moses sees the burning bush. He turns aside to see what is happening and God begins to speak to him. Moses responds correctly saying, “Here am I.”
We should come to God to hear and respond more than we come asking God to hear us and do what we ask. How often do you say to God that you are in His presence seeking His will and not yours? How often do you open your heart and life and ask God to examine it? Do you ask Him for direction or spend more time telling Him what to do?
I want to have the relationship that says, God, here am I. You tell me what to do. I want to do that when I pray. I want to do that when I get into the Scriptures each day. I want God to be the director of my life. What about you?
