God wants everyone to honor the Son, Jesus. If you do not honor Jesus, then you are not honoring the Father. When you see Jesus, you are seeing the Father. If you would like to know about the Father, then look at Jesus. Jesus is the very image of God here on earth.
There are religious groups today that do not believe that Jesus is God. They want to see Jesus as something less. That does not please the Father. God always honors the Son. The Son always honors the Father.
