Jeremiah 44:23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
Sin hurts God’s people. When we sin it causes us to miss out on His blessings on our lives. We hurt ourselves. We walk into the devil’s trap. He wants to see us hurt. He hurts us by causing us to doubt God. He hurts us by causing us to do what we know we shouldn’t and what we do not want to do.
His law is not our enemy. It is not something to hurt us. It is something to keep us out of trouble and hurt.
