Isaiah 38:17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: But thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: For thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
I love this verse. This nation, this person, looked for peace but instead found great bitterness. There was no hope, no peace. But God in love delivered them from the pit of corruption. God forgave their sins and put them behind His back.
For any of us that are forgiven we love these verses. We know what it is like to be beaten up by our sin. We know what it is to live without peace. We know what it is to be rescued and delivered from our sin and consequence.
If you are still living without the salvation of God, without knowing your sins are forgiven that can change right now. We learn how to fake peace. We learn how to act like things are good when they aren’t but you were never meant to live that way. God loves you. He has paid your sin debt. All you need to do is believe and receive the gift of eternal life that is offered you through Jesus Christ.
